What kind of world are we creating for our children?

What kind of world are we creating for our children?

I just attended a spiritual/paranormal event where I was doing readings and a 10 year old boy approached me and stated he wanted a reading.  His uncle was right in back of him and stated he wanted to experience one and would I be willing to give the boy a reading.  I usually do not read for children unless it is considered an emergency or something like trying to locate a missing child.  I asked my guides and they stated it was ok.

So I started the reading like normal.  I told him all about what he should be looking for in school, with his friends, and his future as far as a career.  All positive up to now!  Then I kept getting fear, fear, fear!?!  I spoke to him honestly and ask what was he fearful of…  I explained that I know he was being picked on in school and that if it continues to tell someone he trusts, like his uncle. I also explained I knew there was a greater fear in him, would he be willing to share?

Then to my surprise, he stated he is fearful of being shot in school… killed by a bullet.  Oh my Lord… what have we done to these children? My jaw dropped and a feel of dread came over my whole body.  How sad that a 10 year old boy has to worry about getting killed by a bullet in school that instead of thinking about sports, learning, girls and friends?

The worse part of it is that many of you will be saying gun control!  We need tougher laws, etc. etc. etc.  really?   Do you think those that are not law abiding residents are going to care what we do with gun controls?   They have access to guns all the time and some actually have people who make them for them -- unregistered, unmarked and undetected!  What we need to start doing is paying attention to those that are suffering and trying to reach out.

Start talking to your children about everything (age appropriate) and let those chanels of communication start so that then your child can talk to you about everything.  Pay attention, sometimes there are hints and your child is asking for help.

We, as a society, are failing at helping our fellow man.   We have become a “me” society and just brush it off as, not my problem! Instead of looking at it as "we" all created this world we are living in now, what can we do to make it a better place for everyone? No matter how small of a step we take, we can make a big difference.

As we are in the midst of the holiday season there are many that will be very stressed, anxious and depressed with nothing to lose since they have lost all or about to.  This is the time of the year that many feel alone, in despair and not belonging. Wanting to provide not only the needs, but a gift and yet struggling each day to just survive.

Each one of us can try to extend our hand to help those fellow man/woman and just ask what can we help with. Little things like a smile, holding a door open, bringing a plate of food for someone who is under the weather… so many things can be done to raise the vibrations of this earth we live in and yet we do not think of it because we have been made to believe that help has to come in a major way like a $100.00 gift instead of something from the heart. When I am sick, I am so appreciative of someone cooking a meal for me so that I do not have to do it myself.  Maybe someone needs dishes done or even a load of laundry! Pot of coffee or tea? Pick up some medicine at the pharmacy or even just a phone call or text!

What do you think you can do? No matter how big or small, it all counts and helps us in a collective universal way!
