You heard about the word “Reiki” and you have been wondering about it….What is Reiki?

First let me start by saying Reiki is not a religion but a spiritual path.
Reiki is an eastern healing technique founded in Japan that is effective for stress reduction and relaxation as it promotes healing. It is administered by either laying of hands or holding the hands slightly above the body. It is routed in the principle that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what sustains us in being alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more inclined to be happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A session feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including physical, emotional, spirit and mind facilitating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported remarkable results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual empowerment and self-improvement that anyone can benefit from. It has been effective in managing virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki energy seems to have resonance of its own, flowing where it is needed in the client and empowering the healing conditions necessary for the individual’s needs. It is not directed by the mind, therefore it is not limited by the experience or ability of the practitioner nor can it be misused as it always creates a healing effect.
The practitioner, having been trained and attuned to create a greater connection with higher source, allows this healing energy to pass through them in a conduit capacity only.
As a trained and attuned Reiki practitioner lays their hands slightly above the body of a person for the purpose of healing, people report feeling a warmth and/or tingling sensation and often a comfortable feeling and sense of peace. Reiki is a gentle process and each individual has a unique experience. Anyone, that is open to receiving the healing energy can benefit from it.
